Soldier Pvt. Beach photographed the cork trees of southern France on Aug. 27, 1918. The cork sourced from these trees was used in the new American refrigerator plants. The photo was taken at Camp Cannondale in Bordeaux, France and was approved by the censor. Date of issuing notes is not available.
