A fine and rare William and Mary double-horizontal bronze sundial by Henry Wynne sold for a staggering £20,000 today at Summer's Place Auctions in Billingshurst, West Sussex. The sundial dates back to between 1691 and 1695 and is a dual instrument compromising of a 'double' gnomon and complementary hour-scales on the dial plate. Credit: james jagger/Alamy Live News
