Lake Ballard is a large salt lake in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia and is fanous for the "salt people" sculptures of Sir Antony Gormley. It is 51km from the small township of Menzies. Three species of Tetralycosa (salt-tolerant wolf spiders) are known to inhabit the lake bed.
