Pantheon Interior

One of Rome's oldest and still functional buildings. The original construction of the Pantheon was during the reign of Augustus in the 1st century AD however the building suffered from major fires over the next century and was subject to rebuilding during the reigns of later emperors. The Pantheon was converted into a Christian Church in the 7th Century. One of the buildings major claims to fame is that even after nearly 2000 years it still boasts the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.
