EYE LASER SURGERY
Photo essay on multifocal surfery of the eye with personalized laser (LASIK). In a first time a corneal disk (thin lamelle of cornea) is cut up by femtoseconde laser. Then, the surgeon by lifting this section will treat the eye by excimer laser. The corneal disk is then replaced without suture. Thanks to the corneal topography undertaken before the surgery, all the rays of curves of the cornea have been determined then enabling the treatment of various optical aberrations of the eye simultaneously and the restoration of the best possible sight. This technique can be used to treat all sight disorders (shortsightedness, presbyopia, astigmatism, farsightedness). Cut up of the corneal disk with femtoseconde laser by the surgeon. The nurse holds a syringe that enables to empty the suction ring that will immobilize the eye.
