Adult.—A small greyish moth, expanding 1^ inch; wings broadly fringed. June-July (Fig. 143, a). Eggs.—Delicate light lemon-yellow; pitted; cylindrical; laid singly on under sides of leaves; hatch in 10-14 days, about July 15th. Larvce.—Orange colored; head black; feed as miners for 2-3 weeks within the leaf, then later in curved cases on the leaves. About.
