Provenance: Published by Deutsche Zentrale für Fremdenverkehr (the German Central Tourist Association), Frankfurt-am-Main. Type: Pictorial gastronomic tourist map. A tourist map promoting the merits of German tourist and gastronomy in the early years of the Cold War. The map shows the borders of post World War Two Federal Republic of Germany, as it had been since the division of the country in 1948. The pre-WW2 1937 borders of the German Reich are shown inset. The map includes a wealth of pictorial detail of local and regional specialities.
