The sky is a deep blue, coveredwith heavy, rolling clouds extending to the horizon. The mirror-likewaters of the pool reflect the dark masses of the trees, the gray of the cloud-covered sky, and the white apron of an old woman, who wends her wayalong the path towards the cottage. The picture is full of quiet charm, therich tones and the contrasts of light and shade making the compositionespecially pleasing. Sigtied at the right, J. DupR<. Height, 18 inches; nndth, 15 inches.
