Amager motorway was under flooding water after heavy rain and thunderstorm, which hit the Danish capital Saturday 2nd July 2011. During the worst rainstorm in the area for hundreds of years some 150 millimetres of rain fell in less than three hours, more rain that Copenhagen usually gets in two months. Heavy rains caused flooding, damaging homes and sparking travel chaos in parts of the city.
