Afew years ago complaints were made as tothe tinning of our lobsters ; but there hasbeen a great improvement in the method ofpacking them, and much greater care istaken. Much trouble and loss have beenexperienced of late years from the discolora-tion of lobsters after being tinned. Thishas been the case not only in New-foundland, but equally in Canada andthe United States. Numerous investiga-tions as to the cause have been made, buthitherto without any satisfactory results,opinions
