Order of St. Alexander Nevsky, a sash badge with desponded wings, Russia circa 1820 - 1830 Badge in gold and enamel, without sash. No hallmarks. The two colour gold eagles manufactured in the typical style up to 1830. 53 x 48 mm (excl. suspension), 39 g. The obverse medallion with minimal hair cracks, the reverse medallion with one crack. Despite the absence of a manufacturer's hallmark the badge originates most probably from the Emanuel Pannasch workshop. An almost identical badge is depicted in Durov, p. 24.
