A circa 1915 portrait of Anthony Fokker (also known as Mynheer Fokker or Tony Fokker)) inventor of the Fokker aircraft, famous for its machine gun that fired through its propeller. Anton Herman Gerard Fokker (1890 –1939) was a Dutch aviation pioneer, aviation entrepreneur, aircraft designer, and aircraft manufacturer who also invented the Eindecker monoplanes , the triplane and the biplane. He was born in Blitar / Kediri . Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia), to Herman Fokker, a Dutch coffee plantation owner. His 1st plane design was named the 'Spin' or spider.
