Padlock on the railings at Valaste Waterfall in the Ontika cliffs Northern Estonia


Padlock on the railings at Valaste Waterfall (Valaste Kosk) in Northern Estonia, the country's highest is traditional amongst local ethnic Russians to visit Valaste during their wedding celebrations. Once decsended in front of the waterfall the couple attaches a padlock to the nearby railings inscribed with their names and the date of their wedding. They then proceed to throw away the keys signifying their commitment to each other for the rest of their lives.
