Father and son plasterwork restorers Bill and Andrew Salter from Harrogate , Yorkshire , start work on the restoration of the most complete known Robert Adams ceiling dating from 1760 and the finest in the country , is one of the three being restored in a three month programme by removing the floorboards in the room above and reshoring the ceiling with stainless steel bolts before cracks can be repaired . The house originally owned by the Victoria and Albert Museum has been taken over by the National Trust who are undertaking a huge restoration programme . All three rooms are being shored up
