London UK. 16th January 2018. The new United States embassy diplomatic mission officially opens after relocating from the old site in Mayfair to Nine Elms in London. The new cube shaped building with shimmering sails of plastic was designed by American Philadelphia based architect Kieran Timberlake at a cost £750 million. The new embassy due to be officially opened by President Donald Trump who has since cancelled his State visit to the United Kingdom
