Northampton’s lift tower goes red, white and blue at the Top. Monday, 12 November 2012, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Queen officially opening the building, (it was known as Express Lift Tower) the tower is 127 metres tall and is the only structure of its kind in the UK. The National Lift Tower was re-opened for business in October 2009. Local company Stage Right Productions Ltd provided the lights, and the project was funded by Northamptonshire County Council.
