British Tennis in 1930 - A portrait of tennis player Susan Palfrey at Wembley, UK. Later known as Sarah Hammond Palfrey Danzig (1912 – 1996) she was an American tennis player whose career spanned from June 1926 until September 1945 (19 years) - During World War II, she and her then husband Elwood Cooke were permitted to enter the men's doubles at the 1945 Tri-State Championships in Cincinnati. In 1963 she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
