A proclamation or announcement of the lease treaty between the German Empire and China on the Kiaochow/Qingdao area Delicate silk paper, designed and printed in different colours. The contents give an account of the contractual agreements in place between the German Kaiser Wilhelm II and the Chinese emperor. Dated 20 April 1898 with GuangXu, Qing Dynasty and additional stamps. The paper badly damaged. Dimensions circa 110 x 60 cm. Includes a copy of an extract of the contract (in German). Extremely rare.
