The driving-wheel is placed at the near end of the loadingstation (Fig. 55), so that the shunt-rail is extended farther than theloading point, thus allowing sufficient room for the empty bucketsto stand on the shunt-rail and to radiate to the loading point,and give sufficient standage room between the empty and thefull buckets. The terminal stations (Fig. 50) are built of 4Aby 9-inch scantling uprights in concrete foot-blocks.
