McNary, who has been ill for the last two weeks, with bronchitis; is reported slowly improving. Joseph Furst has also been on the sick list. Herbert Bartholomew played football in Miamisburg, O., October 6, with the Wolverines. The floral department of the Hike- Kumler Co. had a special run on made- up baskets last week. Claude Leslie, accompanied by a party of friends, went to Trotwood October 6, walnut hunting. He came home with enough nuts to pay for the time spent. Mrs. B. Haschke says trade is picking up along all lines. She has a largo decoration for the Country Club this week. M. Anderson returned from Cleveland last week. He reports business fine in his store at that place. Mrs. L. D. Johnson did especially well on Boston ferns last week. Warren G. Matthews, of the Dayton Floral Co., tells us that the work on his new boilers is completed. They are already in use and running well. The company is busy with decorations and weddings. They have an order to furnish seventy-five cases of southern smilaz for the National Cash Begistor Co. The Miami Floral Co. has all its Dutch and French bulbs planted for early spring use. They are cutting a heavy crop of roses at present. All hands were busy at H. H. Bitter's place last week, making up funeral orders. F
