15/09/14 Painting shows Jesus (left) holding dead serpent to represent the conquering of evil and devil (right) holding live serpent to represent living evil. How one manÕs twenty-two year crusade to save a derelict church was bedeviled with problems but proved to be anything but folly. An Anglo Saxon church where unique ancient wall paintings were uncovered will soon begin the next phase of restoration .
