Brandenburger Tor - commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm ll to represent peace, designed by Carl Gotthard Langhans. Consists of 12 Doric columns, six on each side which form 5 passageways. The sculpture on top of the gate is a Quadriga, a chariot drawn by four horses and the Goddess is Eirene, the Goddess of Peace (sculptor, Johann Gottfried Schadow).
