This variety is of medium size, remarkably hardy, with the offsets orside-shoots more numerous than in most varieties; blanches very easilyand quickly, and, when well grown and properly blanched, is of a purewhite color, crisp, brittle, solid, and entirely free from the least sponginessor hollowness ; of a mild, pleasant flavor, unsurpassed in this particularby any other variety.
