"Dracula's graveyard" at the Church of Saint Mary, Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.


The Church of Saint Mary on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England overlooking the mouth of the River Esk and overlooking the town. The church graveyard is used as a setting in Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula. The Church is an Anglican parish church that was founded around AD 1110 and is close to the ruins of Whitby Abbey. From the town, it is reached by climbing the Church Steps, a flight of 199 steps.
