At the same time theother plants farther away contained very few grain lice. The conclusions to be draAvn from these fiicts is that during out-breaks of the gxain louse, oats land should be avoided in planting fallwheat, and all volunteer oats should be carefully destroyed. Ceane flies are also known as Gallinippers and cut-worm eggs are deposited in low, damp grain, grass or clover land, andthe larvae feed upon the roots, occasionally appearing above the surfacein damp, wet weather.
