Sign of the Farmacia Zarri in the Aemilia Ars style inspired by the arts and crafts movement of William Morris. Aemilia Ars was the society for the protection of decorative arts and industries in the Emilia region and was founded in 1898 in Bologna by a group of nobles and artists who gathered around the architect and restorer Alfonso Rubbiani. Its goal was to promote the aesthetic renewal, and the productive and commercial organization, of the decorative arts and objects for use in everyday life. Active until 1903, the society was an italian expression of the new european climate that flourished with the success of the english arts and crafts movement, art nouveau, and the jungendstil
