SpaceX CRS-10 launch. SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies) Falcon 9 rocket being prepared for launch with a SpaceX Dragon capsule filled with cargo onboard. CRS-10, one of 12 SpaceX flights contracted by NASA to resupply the International Space Station (ISS), was launched on 19th February 2017. It originated from NASA's COTS (Commercial Orbital Transportation Services) initiative, set up to encourage private companies to ship cargo to the ISS after the retirement of the shuttle program in 2011.
