The moon sets on the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Manila, Philippines, Jan. 10, 2020. A team of six Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) personnel traveled to the cemetery and spent 10 days disinterring 15 unknown service members who were killed during WWII. The disinterment was part of DPAA’s effort to identify unknowns lost during WWII and provide the fullest possible accounting of our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
