Beyond the i)ondis a broad expanse of pasture land, with two slender poplar trees growing nearthe i)ool in the middle distance, and far away in the horizon is seen the churchspire of a large village with a low wooded hill beyond, and on the right and leftscattered clumps of trees. The sky is entirely filled with masses of drifting vapor,strongly accentuated by the sunlight, which is concentrated near the middle ofthe picture.
