Puros, Namibia-August 4, 2021- Metal tag on the sculpture: Nr 27 - Name: Heading for one big gathering. Side view of a stone man nr 27, walking with towards a gathering with his lunch on a stick, next to the D3707 gravel road, close to the small town of Puros, in the Namib desert, with a mountain range in the background. The sculpture is made from stone and iron and is about 1m high, and is not protected from wind or weather. These men are known as the lone men or stone men of the Kaokoveld and there approximately 27 of them scattered in the Kaokoveld in Northern Namibia, Africa. The artist has not come forward to date and is a mystery.
