The ramparts of Flag Rock, Galle, Sri Lanka. The Galle Fort was declared a World Heritage site in 1988. It is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by european colonial invaders. The Dutch East India Company (VOC) built this present Fort in the year 1663.
