, Chitcani, Transnistria, Moldova - The Russian-Orthodox Ascension Monastery Neu-Niamtz was closed by the Soviet power in 1962 and re-opened in 1989. The region split in 1990 from Moldova and is and is not recognized by any other country. Even the Russia-dependent structures are known as the Transdnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Pridnestrovkaja Moldavskaja Respublika / PMR).
