Monks and another man sitting outside the rocky hole of the hideout of Grigoris Afxentiou 1928-1957, Machairas Monastery, Lazanias, Cyprus photographed in 1963. Afxentiou was killed here by British forces during the insurgency when he refused to surrender. The site is now a museum.
