It is dangerous to heat the water in theCatasauqua Kettle even when the dynamite section is empty, becausethere may be a little nitro-glycerin in it which has soaked out of thedynamite previously thawed. Water may be heated in the outerpail of the Bradford Kettle if the inner pail has been removed. Thedynamite pail must not be put into the water pail unless the wateris cool enough to put the hand in without burning it. Dynamiteshould not be put into either of the thawing kettles without firstwiping out the dynamite compartment clean and CATASAUQUA THAWING KETTLE 25
