230103-N-PA221-1001 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 3, 2023) Navy Aviation Machinist's Mate Airman Apprentice Felipe Sabalza, from Fresno, Calif., maintains an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter blade in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is in 7th fleet conducting routine operations. 7th Fleet is the Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with 35 maritime nations in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
