Structure II, the Great Pyramid at the Mayan ruins of Calakmul, Campeche, Mexico.


This is the most massive pyramid built by the ancient Maya. The Reserva de la Biosfera de Calakmul covers 7232 square km and was established in 1989. Calakmul was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.
