Horizontal close up of the carved balconies and windows in the Shringar Chowk of Mehrangarth Fort in Jodhpur.

Close up of the intricately carved balconies and windows in the Shringar Chowk at the Mehrangarh Fort. Perched on a 150 m high hill, it is the most formidable and magnificent fort in Rajasthan. Rao Jodha founded it in 1459 but subsequent rulers of Jodhpur have also added their own personal touches to it over the centuries.
