ARABIAN SEA (Mar. 4, 2017) Navy Career Counselor 1st Class Derek Woellhof holds up a M-4 rifle with a M-203 grenade launcher attachment as he prepares to qualify during a live fire exercise aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mahan (DDG 72). USS Mahan is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
