The Middle Yorkshire — This breed, often known simply as Mid-dle White in England, has undoubtedly been derived in that country fromthe Large Yorkshire. It has been decreased in size, and refined in boneby selection and the introduction of Chinese crosses. The Middle York-shire is not generally kept under that name in the United States, but theCheshire and Suffolk are of substantially the same type, and these will besomewhat fully described. 640.
