The street runs a short distance from the Church of Saint Mary at the Pelourinho de Óbidos, central square of the village. The medieval Portuguese village inhabited since 308 BC, is one of the most well preserved classic walled settlements in Portugal. With a current population of over 3,000 is 100km north of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, on the Atlantic coast. Óbidos has become one of Portugal’s top tourist destinations
