Samuel Marsh, the youngest of this long-lived andestimable family, was born in 1786 and died in 1872,in the city of New York, where he had resided manyyears and was largely engaged in important transac-tions. He was heavily interested in the Fox andWisconsin Improvement Company, and was presidentof the New York and Erie Railroad Company, beingsucceeded in the latter position by his nephew,. ,n$
