Changzhi Hall facade. Hongcun. Anhui. China


Chengzhi Hall was built in the 5th year of reign of Emperor Xianfeng of Qing Dynasty (1855) and covers an area of 2100 square meters. Bothe the front hall and the back hall bear the corridor structure of "two stories and three rooms" and it is composed of a main hall, a study, a scripture hall, a pond, a garden, a kitchen and a well. The whole building consiists of 28 rooms. Magnificent and glittering with exquisite carvings, red columns and golden beams the Hall is honored as "The Civil Palace Museum".
