The floors are steel-beam and concrete-archconstruction, the spans and size of beams being carefully se-lected for the probable loadings in different parts of the sta-tion. The roof is reinforced cinder concrete covered with tarpaper and gravel. AH skylights are % inch thick roughtransparent wire-glass. All of the high-voltage electrical apparatus and connec-tions are placed in what is practically a separate building,there being only one door leading from the main station into.
