A mask of the Lakhey is pictured inside the Lakhey house, the protector of Goddess Kumari, during the Indra Jatra Jatra, the festival of Rein of God is celebrated with much fanfare in Kathmandu Valley. In this eight day-long festival Chariots of Living Goddess Kumari and Living Gods Ganesh and Bhairab are pulled in various parts of the city but due to the Covid-19 pandemic for the first time in history chariot processing was cancelled. The pulu kisi and lakhey were worshipped at their homes.
