This species has the form of acutus in general but the vertex is longer and more acute, the face is entirely yellow without the brown border of acutus the last ventral segment of the female is long and has a distinct median carina on the posterior half. Length 5 mm. A single specimen of this species was taken at Mars Hill Aug. 25th, also one specimen Ft. Kent Aug. 28th. These are exact duplicates of the type specimen which was collected by Mr. Van Duzee at Phoenicia, N. Y. Several females and males taken at Orono Aug. 5, 8, 11, 22, 24, 1914.
