Amphibious assault vehicles from the amphibious transport dock ship USS Denver (LPD 9) participate in an amphibious exercise in the South China Sea on Feb. 10, 2011. The Denver is part of the forward-deployed Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is underway participating in Cobra Gold 2011, a multinational military exercise designed to promote regional peace and stability.
