220924-N-MJ716-0148 NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Sept. 24, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees practice reciting the history of Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) in preparation for the presentation portion of the concert honoring the base’s Centennial Celebration Sept. 24th. NBSD hosted a public event in recognition of the base reaching 100 years of service since its founding on Feb. 23, 1922. The celebration featured ship tours, a car show, concert, and a fair-like atmosphere with food, merchandise and info booths, and rides.
