Free Julian Assange campaigners staged a protest on the second anniversary of his incarceration in Belmarsh prison in south-east London.

Julian Assange campaigners staged a demonstration at three locations connected to the Wiki-leak's founder to mark the second anniversary of his imprisonment; the Ecuadorian Embassy, Westminster Magistrates Court and finally Belmarsh prison. Assange's extradition to the US, where he is wanted on spying charges, was blocked by the High Court on mental-health grounds in January 2021, though he remains imprisoned as the US authorities lodged an appeal against the ruling.
