In this photograph taken on September 7, 1965, UH-34 helicopters from the 1610-261 and VMO-2 units are seen providing escort to the 2nd Battalion, 4th RVS Army Regiment during Operation PEMASA in Vietnam. The helicopters transported the troops to Fine, covering eight miles across the Cap Batongan-Anky peninsulas. Although there were automatic weapons firing, the helicopters sustained no hits.
