Greymare Rock a folded limestone rock formation on Embleton Bay
Greymare Rock is made up several limestone beds projecting out into the sea through dolerite boulders. The upper surface has been polished by wave action for thousands of years. The folded, wave-like shape is a result of heat and pressure on the limestone during the formation of the Whin Sill around 200 million years ago.
